The Business Leader Magazine held a roundtable debate with Osborne Clarke looking at how technology is changing the property sector.
Property and Technology are at the core of what the Loop Team do so this was a brilliant event for us to attend. The discussions were varied and exciting – we have entered into a period of fast growth in the sector and the emerging technologies are both creative and disruptive, in a long established industry. Change is coming, and it seems those who embrace it will find the transition easier, and even fun.
Smart homes will become smarter, buildings will be built taller, and drones will take over. Well, maybe. But buildings themselves, old and new, need to embrace new technologies – Why? Because this can improve use of space and therefore living quality, health and wellbeing.
What became clear on the day is that we are all acutely aware of how technology could improve standards both in our homes and offices / work spaces. There are many fascinating and innovative companies who have already started working towards this goal but with so many solutions to find, even this fast moving transition into a technology driven property industry may still take some time.
