Earlier this year, I took a short career break having worked solidly in estate agency for over twenty years. Like most people, I started as a trainee lettings negotiator, learning how it could be done and how it should be done. With a determination to succeed, I worked my way up to senior leadership positions including office management and directorships. I often reflect on how much I enjoyed working with all sorts of people in all sorts of situations. After two decades in the business, I consider myself vastly experienced in residential sales, lettings and property management.
More recently, I was introduced to Oliver Gleave and Claire Owen. Oliver is a well-known and respected name within the PropTech industry having previously founded Jupix Property Software which was acquired by the Property Software Group in 2014 and is now part of the Zoopla portfolio. Claire is a former estate agent and buying consultant having worked for a number of national firms including Knight Frank and Strutt & Parker.
During my early conversations with Oliver and Claire it was clear that they are passionate about enhancing what is at the core of every successful estate agency – exceptional service and sound property advice, backed by best-in-class technology.
They understand that, with the right systems in place and trusted data available, agents can deliver a better service to their clients. Done consistently, it’s a proven way to gain market share, retain instructions and sell the best properties. Ultimately, these agents become more profitable businesses.
With this mission in mind they co-founded Loop Software; a market intelligence application, designed to track all market movements, provide up-to-date trusted property data to agents, and allow users to capture their own unique market insights.
Loop is a company made up of technology specialists and proven estate agency professionals. We all share an entrepreneurial spirit and a focus on serving our clients in the best possible way. I immediately felt at home because of my ‘all-round’ agency experience, my ARLA qualification and the fact that the founders value my input and opinion on product development, continuing their ethos of ‘designed by agents, for agents’.
I couldn’t help but be impressed and, wearing my estate agency hat, I could immediately see the massive potential of using Loop. No more timely market research via portals and the constant hassle of recording canvassing/prospecting on internal spreadsheets. Just fast, accurate, trusted data that presents opportunities in a clear and meaningful way.
I am excited to be part of Loop and to be working alongside Oliver, Claire and the rest of the Loop team. I enjoy dealing with new clients and given my agency background I take a consultancy approach when delivering either online or face-to-face demos. I know what’s in the pipeline too and I can’t wait to share with everyone else where we are headed… just not yet!
If you would like further information about how Loop can drive positive results for your agency or would like an informal chat please do not hesitate to contact me.
